Hopefully you’ll find the Lounge easy to use. Below are a few notes on using some of the main features of the Lounge just in case you need a little help.
The Lounge is all about finding great things to listen to and whether you know what you want or are open to suggestion we have a number of easy ways to help you find it:
Use the Search box at the top left of the homepage to search all radio, on-demand or PURE Sounds.
To restrict your search to a particular type of content, first select Live Radio, On-Demand or PURE Sounds from the left hand menu, then type in your search.
When you are in the My Tracks area or the Store the search works within those areas.
Once you’ve searched, you can refine your results further by applying one or more filters to your search results. Select a genre, country, language or audio quality and click the Update button to filter the list of results.
Click the Most popular or A to Z button to re-order the results and click the arrows to browse through results pages.
If you’re undecided or fancy finding something new you can just browse our huge database of content by selecting a category (Live Radio, On-Demand or PURE Sounds) from the left hand menu. You can then browse through all the content in that category – though be warned, you could be there for some time!
On the homepage you’ll find links from the rotating banners to hand-picked recommendations, articles or the latest news. You’ll also see links to the most popular live radio, on-demand content and PURE Sounds.
Select Recently Played from the left hand menu to see what you've listened to lately.
Register on the Lounge and you can save your favourites which will also automatically appear on any PURE internet radios you own. Top up your account using a Visa or MasterCard and you can use FlowSongs on your PURE radio to identify (tag) tracks, and buy them on your radio or from the Lounge store. You can also use the Lounge store to buy tracks or albums, which you can listen to online and on your PURE internet radio and download them and transfer them to your MP3 player.
Click Register on the top menu bar of the Lounge to create a Lounge account.
Once you have created a Lounge account and logged in you can save your favourite radio stations, on-demand content or PURE Sounds on the Lounge for quick and easy access.
You can save your favourites and organize into folders which you create and name on the Lounge.
Check the checkbox next to the item(s) you want to add to favourites, select the favourites folder from the drop down at the top right of the results page and click the Add to folder button.
Select the favourites folder from the drop down under the item description and click the Add to folder button.
Tip Connect a device (PURE internet radio, iPod touch/iPhone or iPad with the Lounge app) to the Lounge and you can also view and edit the favourites from your device on the Lounge. Individual devices appear like favourites folders on the Lounge.
Click the folder, radio or device name on the left hand menu to view any favourites you’ve saved in that folder or on that radio or device.
Change the name of a favourites folder by editing the title.
Delete or move an individual favourite by checking the box next to the favourite and clicking the Delete button or the Move to folder button.
Delete a whole favourites folder by clicking the red cross button next to the folder name.
If you have a favourite internet radio station that you can’t find listed on the Lounge, you can add it to your favourites using the Add Custom Station option.
You’ll need to know the station stream URL, you can give the station a name, description, genre, language and location.
Your station should now appear just like any other favourite on the Lounge and also on any PURE Flow radios or other devices you have connected to the Lounge.
Connect any PURE internet radios you own and any iPod touch, iPhone or iPad using the Lounge app and you can share your favourites between all the devices and access and organize them all on the Lounge.
Your devices should now be connected and appear listed under your favourites folders on the Lounge.
Every page on the Lounge can be sent straight to friends on Twitter or Facebook so they can share your latest audio discoveries; submitted to Digg; saved as a browser, Delicious or Google bookmark; or sent as a link via e-mail.
Click the relevant icons shown on each Lounge station, on-demand or PURE Sound page to share that page.
The Lounge makes it easy to purchase the music you like either online or direct from your PURE internet radio using the FlowSongs service.
Note You need to register for a Lounge account and top it up with some funds to be able to purchase music on your radio using FlowSongs or online from the Lounge store.
Click the Store button to visit the Lounge store and search for music by artist, album or track.
You can also buy tracks you’ve tagged using FlowSongs that are available in the Lounge store by clicking the shopping cart button next to the track in your list of tagged tracks.
Once purchased, your albums or tracks are available on your PURE internet radio or other connected device, and online at the Lounge. You can organize your tracks into playlists and you can download them to your MP3 player. The Lounge store is currently exclusive to UK customers.
You can access your purchased tracks in the My Tracks section of the site. From there, you can download it using the down arrow button. You can filter your purchased tracks by clicking on an artist name or an album title. From a filtered view, you can easily see more tracks from that artist/album by clicking the album in store or artist in store links as appropriate.
To preview a track, click the Speaker icon next to the track time.
To buy a track, click the small Buy button next to that track.
To buy an album, click the large Buy button under the album information at the top of the page – the album will be supplied as a single zip file containing all the tracks as individual files.

The Lounge includes a built-in player for radio stations, podcasts and tracks at the bottom left of each page. The player features basic play/pause and previous/next buttons and a volume control.
Note Click the arrow button to pop the player out into a separate window if you want playback can continue while you browse the site.
